Global village, Dubai, post - one

Dubai global village!
Every year the number of countries having pavilions here is increasing. No doubt, this gathering is getting better and better as years go by.

This time of the year is a festive season in Dubai. Coupled with Dubai shopping festival (DSF) there is glitter and bling everywhere in Dubai. Mesmerizing Dubai!

This is a unique opportunity to witness the culture, products, and people from different parts of the world without going there.

It actually is a vast venue with eateries, entertainment, fireworks and the like! There is a cultural stage here where artists from different countries showcase their unique cultural talents.

Photography, when twilight is in full swing is a wonderful thing!

There is an artificial canal where you can ride on traditional boats. There are stage shows, stunt shows, street shows, cultural shows, and concerts.

The exhibits are simply awesome! Not a moment of boredom. The price is also reasonable,

You will be able to buy any type of middle eastern perfumes here. Feeling lucky...well...there are lucky draws too and the winner gets sackloads of money, it is Dubai, you know!

These pictures were taken the last time I visited there in 2012.

Yummy!
Authentic Turkish dishes at Al Andalus restaurant at Sukhumvit, Bangkok.

This green tea flavored with mint leaves was excellent.

Awesome soup, rice, and fish, yummy fresh salad!

                                                                  Love hummus 😊
I like middle eastern cuisine a lot. Always try them whenever I travel 😊

How to animate a picture: add stars, floaties, glitter etc.

I created an animated graphical picture for the post on new year day. For this, I selected a picture of a chandelier that I photographed at the Dubai Mall. I thought of spicing it up by adding glitter, stars, and bling to it. I use http://www.online-image-editor.com when I want to add such things to a picture. It is an awesome website where you upload a picture and do whatever you desire. They have an impressive collection of glitters, stars, floaties etc. You can save time by uploading a small sized picture. The website will modify the size sometimes when you add some animations. Moreover, we can do the basic works also like re-sizing, add frames etc. Be careful with your picture's format, find out which one will work with your site. There is a provision for converting to many formats.

The picture of a palm tree at Deira, Dubai on this post was modified by adding rain floaties. A star was also added.

But when I want to do something elaborate and delicately I use Photoshop. Otherwise for simple works I prefer to make use of pic monkey and other similar online image editors like this.

Hope this post will help you to create beautiful and cool pictures!

Delicious dishes, good memories and an awesome airport!

Yummy...!

Friends, these are some of the pictures taken at KLIA -2 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport), Malaysia recently. Not many changes here since my visit about 4 years ago but it was thrilling to see everything again. I was hungry when I landed and decided to eat something from the food court. After browsing thoroughly and observing people buying food I decided to try this fish ball soup. I was right, Wow, delicious!

Interspersed with not so fierce red chillies, super cool broth, some vegetables and soft noodles this soup was simply great! It was very much filling too.

The ambiance was also good. Not much rush at that time in the afternoon and I sat there quietly and enjoyed this dish.

Upon return, there was a lot of time to kill before catching Malindo Airways flight back home. Walked and walked every nook and corner of this sprawling airport, browsed each and everything at duty-free shops, bought some data for phone and spent time on it too, went to watch a movie being shown on an LED TV near one of the gates, dozed off and in between enjoyed these two delicacies. The first one is hot chocolate and the second is green tea. Nice, good memories😊
