Dubai metro, enjoy a ride

Dubai Metro is considered as one of the best in the world. The fully automated metro began their services on 09/ 09/09. Everything is computer controlled, no drivers at all! Two lines, red and green have become fully operational. With its introduction, the road traffic congestion has lessened in this booming world-class city. The ride on the metro is really awesome!

Most of the iconic structures in Dubai are visible along the way. The trains run smoothly and efficiently.

If you are visiting Dubai enjoy a ride on the metro. There are single trip tickets, one-day full fare card, and rechargeable long-term cards. The Metro officials were extremely helpful to assist passengers.

There are platform edge doors that will open only when the train arrives at the station. No open platforms anywhere, all fitted with platform screen doors. The platforms including the cabins are fully air-conditioned.

The metro is well-connected with all the important landmarks in Dubai. The third picture from the top shows the walkway connecting the Burj Khalifa station and the Dubai Mall.

Beautiful metro!

We do have fully-automated trains without drivers called the LRT (Light Rail Transit) here in S'pore too, but I guess nothing beats Dubai.

Sorry for not being able to come by as often. Will catch up as much :)

No problem Shirley. Thank you so much, take your time !

Unattended train operation (UTO)- completely driverless systems and lines with grade 4 automation has been implemented by many Rail networks in Europe, N. America, S. America, Asia and Dubai, in the middle east. Dubai metro has 99.69 % punctuality rate.

I think Singapore's LRT has barrier-free facilities as well making it totally accessible to people who require special assistance in mobility. Singapore's rail network is modern, efficient and simply awesome !

I hardly knew anything about Dubai until I was asked to come with a fresh blog to promote Dubai Metro App. During my short sting with Dubai locales (via internet, I was simply taken away by its stupendous skyscrapers and placid beauty. Still, your blog insinuated me with a brand new look of the Arabian city. I Think you are damn good at capturing all those pics.Keep it up. In the mean time, you can also visit my own blog, Dubai Metro App and suggest your valuable improvements over there.
