Marina mall and the Emirates palace, Abu Dhabi

This post is about the Marina mall, a beautiful mall in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE and Emirates palace hotel.

From Dubai, it takes about 45 minutes by road to reach Abu Dhabi. This city is undergoing a total makeover with numerous iconic structures being constructed. Some like the Ferrari world has already been completed.

There are outlets of so many international brands in Marina mall like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Rolex, to name a few. Over time, this spot has grown into a hub of shopping, entertainment, leisure, and fashion.

Some stats:
  • The total area of Marina Mall is 2,35,000 sq meters
  • 4000 car parking spaces
  • About 400 retail stores
Marina mall, it is all at the mall!   http://www.marinamall.ae

Try to visit this mall if you ever go to Abu Dhabi.

Marina Mall is located on the Corniche road close to the Emirates Palace hotel. The view of the Emirates Palace from here is awesome!

Emirates Palace hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. It is owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi and managed by the Kempinski group. 3.9 billion GBP was the approximate cost of construction! The Palace occupies 850,000m² of floor space. The magnificent dome of the atrium of this hotel is covered with 22 karat gold leaf!

Hi Rajiv, wow... amazing and it's like paradise. Really beautiful and classy. Can only do window shopping, cannot buy or else smoke come out from my credit card. LOL

But nice place to visit and to enjoy the scenery. Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.

Have a great weekend.

Lol, Well, the place is all the time flooded with expatriates, nationals as well as tourists from all over the world.

There is a Carrefour super market in the mall where things are affordable, as you know ! Other luxury outlets, well, window shopping only would be the option for us :)

Anyhow, it is a vibrant spot !

Wow.
I can't imagine ever being able to go there, as I'm kind of poor LOL.
But, luckily, I have this wonderful blog to come to and experience it vicariously!

Hi Michelle, thanks so much for this wonderful comment.

You are talented and a good person like you cannot be poor. Money is not everything in life. Are all financially sound people happy with their lives ?

Have a nice weekend ! What are you going to cook this weekend ? Hope you will post the recipe.

Undergoing a makeover? It's good to know that they're constantly upgrading the city. I've yet to visit Abu Dhabi tho' I've been to Dubai many times. Hope to visit Dubai again tho.

Dubai is wonderful, no doubt about it.

Abu Dhabi is also gaining attention in the recent times. Now-a-days people visit there too when they come Dubai.

There is hectic activity going on over there and I am quite sure the city will be much more awesome within a few years.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE. A very rich emirate !

No problems, they have buggie cars that will take you anywhere you want. Your legs won't ache !

If you explore the mall and the premises thoroughly a day won't be enough.

Excuse me of my ignorance about your country, but I’ll learn little by little from you. The name “Emirates” rang the bell as I know “Emirates Airline”, which my daughter took on her visit to Europe via Abu Dhabi. Now, the name "Emirates" and Abu Dhabi got associated in my memory.

I am Indian and I worked in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)in the middle east.

UAE comprises of 7 emirates, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras-Al-Khaima, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah and Umm al-Quwain.

Emirates is the airline of Dubai. Etihad is the national airline of Abu Dhabi.

Many thanks for dropping in here and adding comments. Please visit my blogs again and I look forward to your valuable comments.

Thanks for your time to write this recomment with detailed explanation. I knew UAE and now I understand "E" stands for "Emirates".

Since I take my family a priority, my commenting is slow in general, so please be patient with me. You are so productive that I can’t catch up with enough, but I’ll surely visit you when I have time. Thank you again and keep up the good posting.

I wonder what the food court would be like...

Hello, thank you so much.
The food court is very spacious. Arabic, Burger King, Indian tandoor, Italian, London dairy icecream are some of the outlets present there.

In addition to these outlets at the food court, there are so many restaurants and cafes at all the levels.

I've gone to two malls by the water, which means experiencing two great things. Shopping and a water view.

I've never seen palm trees indoors. This place looks great.

Hi Medeia, thanks a lot for the comment.
Those are artificial palm trees, a common sight in most of the malls in the middle east. They look beautiful !
